  We created the DJ Chat badge to recognize the unique status DJs have on Twitch, and to highlight their talents to the wider Twitch community. The enthusiasm the community is showing our DJs by using the badge in Chat is exciting, but we’ve also heard from DJs that non-DJs using it creates confusion for viewers, and devalues the value of the badge. In addition, we’ve seen the badge being abused by bots and bad actors in order to appear more credible.
  
  As a result as of today, the DJ Chat Badge will only be granted if the streamer:
  
  
  Is enrolled in the DJ Program, AND
  Is a Twitch Affiliate or Partner
  
  For streamers that do not satisfy both requirements, we will be revoking the Chat Badge. The DJ icon will continue to show up on the Channel Page of both monetizing and non-monetizing streamers. We hope these changes will better recognize the unique contributions DJs are making"
