"In the 70s my parents got a turkey from a raffle at work. My mother cooked it in the usual way, but thought it smelled a bit off. She offered the cats some of the pureed innards before using them for the gravy and they ran away. One even tried to bury the bowl. The dog wouldn't touch it either."
