"I spent the first 20 years of my career at local papers, mostly small, in suburban Boston, the Shenandoah Valley (Staunton), New York’s Southern Tier and North Jersey. They’re all very different places, and I enjoyed each for different reasons, though Staunton was my favorite (after my hometown)."
