"A typical gameplay screen for Legacy of the Ancients. Legacy had two perspectives -- a top-down, overworld view for exploring the world and a first person perspective for indoor locales like the Galactic Museum here. In this scene, you're standing in front of one of the Museum's displays telling you about its purpose. To the left is a command list, some basic stats (like your HP and how much food and gold you're carrying) and the bottom window is saved for text messages like combat results.
But the other displays, which can be activated with a special coin (more of which you must find on your own), can transport you to different adventures!
One interesting note about copy protection -- one of the items "acquired" from the dead traveler is a black disk which is your access key to the museum. Included with the game was a black code wheel used to answer copy protection challenges on entering the museum!"
